Our Hone Tutua is one of the original team members of KingSt – only Judy Coulter has been here longer. He even pre-dates Chris! Hone and Judy were part of the team when Chris bought Russ Rimmington’s shares in 1999. From an early age, Hone says he was taken with art and design. When his high school ran a design class, he thought it would be an interesting option to take in his final year and found it was something he really enjoyed.

It wouldn’t be right to end 2020 without a KingSt video. As you’ll see, like everyone else, we’re well ready for a break! Thanks for working with us this year, it’s been one like no other. Have a great Christmas and…don’t forget to chill!!

We recently celebrated a massive milestone with Kwan, who has been an invaluable contribution to KingSt Advertising for the past 15 years! Kwan started as an intern and has moved her way around the departments before becoming our wonderful Media Director.

Last week we had our team Christmas party. It was great to celebrate getting to the end of a really interesting and challenging year. To keep the team spirit alive and well we put together a progressive dinner. A bus, four venues, a few chilly bins and some innovative catering saw us all have an excellent night. Thanks to Robyn, Suzy, Chris and Kwan for opening up your homes. The format went down so well we’re now planning to use it again next year in Raglan when four of the team will have homes available!

That’s the difference between now and when we started in 1999. It’s also the difference between now and six months ago. For context, in 1999 Mark Zuckerburg was 15. And six months ago lockdown was a term we related to prison movies.
